Thai Yoga Bodywork (TBW) is a dynamic healing modality unlike any other. It has also been called “lazy man’s yoga”. Done on a large futon style mat on the floor, the receiver remains fully clothed and no oils are used. During each session, the receiver is fully passive unless cued otherwise, which makes this modality a great option for those wishing to supplement an existing yoga practice or exercise routine with something more restorative, or for those just simply wanting to receive. NO experience is necessary.
This method works the whole body using techniques such as: palming and thumbing along the “sen” (energy) lines, gentle rocking, traction, activation of acupressure points, and gentle yoga-inspired stretches.
Benefits of receiving Thai bodywork include: greater joint mobility, deeper body and breath awareness, inflammation reduction, and improvement of circulation and lymphatic flow.
