JoAnn first stepped on a yoga mat as a student over 20 years ago, exploring classes with a variety of teachers. She began to understand and embody the benefits of a yoga practice.
Curious to learn more she enrolled in Yoga teacher training. She is now an E-RYT 200, RYT 500 and has been teaching for 9 years. JoAnn is eager to share the many benefits of yoga for mind, body, and spirit.
JoAnn brings to her classes an alignment based approach to asana, movement with attention to breath, and mindfulness as a path to whole body health and longevity.
Students can expect detailed alignment instruction along with guidance for pranayama, hands on assists, and the use of Sanskrit terms to honor the traditional roots of yoga.
